For a busy, working mom, it can be hectic figuring out if you have everything before you head out the door first thing in the morning. While a lot of energy lately has probably been on your newborn baby, you also want to take care of yourself. Here are a few things you do not want to leave home without.
- Good Shoes
If you will be on your feet for hours at a time, then you want to make sure you have a good pair of supportive shoes. Whether you are heading to work or taking the kids to soccer practice, you do not want your feet to wear out.
- Water Bottle
It is important for you to stay hydrated. Even if it is not going to be particularly hot out, it does not take much for your body to lose water. In the event you will be out with kids, you want to pack extra water bottles for them.
The last thing you want is to be out and about and your kids start getting fussy. A healthy snack, such as a granola bar or trail mix, can be just the thing to keep children calm. It is also vital for you to not get too hungry during the day.
- Diapers/Spare Clothing
When your child is still in diapers, it is paramount you have some extra diapers on hand when you go out just in case. However, if your toddler is out of diapers, then it can be good to have an extra pair of pants. You never know.
- Coloring Book
Kids get antsy easily. You may not want to hand off your phone or tablet to your youngster quite yet, so it can be good to have a coloring or activity book readily available.
